Pennant Man by Daniel Wyatt, is available from good ebook stores everywhere, including Amazon (for Kindle), iBooks, Smashwords, Google Play Books and Kobo, or read it with a Scribd subscription.
The blurb:
A baseball mystery novel about the breaking of the color line in major league baseball in the mid-forties…
Professional baseball hasn’t always been integrated. Up until the 1940s, there were white leagues and negro leagues. Regardless of talent, white team owners fought long and hard to keep blacks from entering their exclusive clubs. Then the Brooklyn Dodgers took the other owners on by scouting two black players of equal talent. The goal — two players breaking the color line together…
One was Jackie Robinson. The other had a past.

Wrath of Antares by Alan Burt Akers, book 49 of the Dray Prescot series, is now available from good ebook stores everywhere, including Amazon (for Kindle), iBooks, Smashwords, Google Play Books, Kobo, or read it with a Scribd subscription.
The blurb:
Volume forty-nine in the epic saga of Dray Prescot of Earth and of Kregen, and the last book of the Balintol Cycle.
Dray Prescot is attempting to unify the sub-continent of Balintol against the overweening ambitions of local rulers, so that a united front can be presented to the predatory reivers from over the curve of the world — the dreaded Fish-heads, the Shanks. These rulers of various countries of Balintol, and the people trying to usurp them, appear to care only for their own ambitions.
Having saved the Illusionist of Winlan and preserved the Wall that retains the demon monsters created by Khon the Mak’s Dokerty priests, Prescot now realizes to his profound horror that the phantom of his wife Delia he saw buried by falling rock was no apparition…

Challenge of Antares by Alan Burt Akers, book 48 of Dray Prescot is now available from good ebook stores everywhere, including Amazon (for Kindle), iBooks, Smashwords, Google Play Books, Kobo, Barnes & Noble (for Nook Books), or read it with a Scribd subscription.
The blurb:
Volume forty-eight in the saga of Dray Prescot of Earth and of Kregen, and the fifth book of the Balintol Cycle.
Born in 1775, Dray Prescot joined the Royal Navy as a boy when his father died from the sting of a scorpion, and his mother followed soon after. The life in Nelson’s Navy, harsh, intolerant, formed and molded him. He has been consistently passed over for promotion, even though he has fought his way from the lower deck through the hawsehole to the quarterdeck. Now, together with the rest of the world, he considers himself a failure.
Just recently he has been experiencing unsettling dreams, of weird places and animals, strange beyond the comprehension of a plain sailorman. Through these eerie nightmares he occasionally glimpses the vague face and form of a woman who touches him profoundly and for whom, not really understanding why, he knows he would lay down his life.
As we join his story he is serving as the first lieutenant in His Britannic Majesty’s seventy-four gun ship Roscommon…

The blurb:

Under the twin sun, Antares, the planet Kregen is a world of wonder and terror, of beauty and horror. Now, in the streaming mingled lights of the Suns of Scorpio, Prescot takes up the Krozair brand to save his friends who are about to be killed by the vicious Shank lord. Then he must rally the coalition of forces from Vallia, Hamel and Tsungfaril, to expel the Shanks from Tarankar. But things rarely go according to plan on Kregen…
Scorpio Drums:
Dray Prescot has recently given up the job of being Emperor of Vallia, only to be pitchforked into the task of uniting all the varied continents and islands of Paz to resist the reiving onslaughts of the Shanks. People are beginning to call him the Emperor of Emperors, the Emperor of Paz. During the battle, to his horror, he sees Delia being carried off by a group of the whiptailed Kataki slavers, galloping off astride zorcas. Frenziedly he charges after them… Although previously published in a German translation, Scorpio Drums has never before been published in English.
Scorpio Triumph:
Down in the continent of Loh expeditions have ventured below the City of Eternal Twilight into the Realm of the Drums in search of one of the rubies. A Wizard of Loh, Na-Si-Fantong, has been collecting the rubies, and it is believed he wants them for no good purposes. He has succeeded in obtaining a ruby and vanishes into the maze of tunnels under the city. Not really convinced of the importance of the Skantiklar, Prescot has to go in pursuit. Alone, he threads his way through the labyrinth, already feeling he will never catch Na-Si-Fantong…

I have updated Demons of Antares by Alan Burt Akers with a few corrections based on reader feedback and for consistency with the following books in the series. Please return to the bookstore where you bought the book to re-download it and you will automatically get the newest version. Any problems, let me know.
The changes are:
- Changed Llanili’s flier from “Gleaming Thunder” (which seemed the correct translation at the time) to “Sparking Thunder” (as it is mentioned in Scourge of Antares)
- Changed “Nath the Singer” to “Nath the Chanter”
- Changed “Erwin the Chatterbox” to “Erwin the Waggler” (I defy anyone to have got “Waggler” from the German “Plappermaul”!)
- Clarified the Tiri paragraph in Chapter 1
- Improved capitalization around the lady Quensella/Lady Quensella
- Minor textual changes and corrections
Please keep the comments coming — Demons of Antares is still a work in progress

Scourge of Antares by Alan Burt Akers, book 47 of the Dray Prescot series, is now available from good ebook stores everywhere, including Amazon (for Kindle), iBooks, Smashwords, Google Play Books and Kobo.
The blurb:
Volume forty-seven in the saga of Dray Prescot of Earth and of Kregen, and the fourth book of the Balintol Cycle.
If you are prepared to hurl yourself into adventure, to face peril with a brave heart, to risk all, then the marvelous world of Kregen offers you everything you have ever dreamed.
For Dray Prescot the challenges are enormous. His task is to unite the sub-continent of Balintol against the Shanks, but due to the megalomaniac striving for power of various factions within the countries of Balintol, the whole place looks set to go up in flames.
Prescot has uncovered some of the details of a plot by the cultists of the religion of Dokerty to turn ordinary men and women into receptacles for demons, who then destroy wantonly until the frail human body can no longer support the intolerable demonic forces. Now he has escaped from the Dokerty temple with a mysterious young woman, Veda. They are fleeing for their lives as the Suns of Scorpio descend into night…
