Submission Guidelines

What We're Looking For

Mushroom Publishing is actively seeking submissions in the following genres:

• Science Fiction - Space opera, hard SF, planetary adventure, and speculative fiction
• Fantasy - Epic fantasy, contemporary fantasy, and mythological fiction
• Historical Fiction - Well-researched stories set in any historical period
• Thrillers - Suspense, mystery, and action-oriented fiction

We are particularly interested in series and books that can become the start of a series.

What We Don't Accept

• Poetry or short story collections
• Non-fiction (except by prior arrangement)
• Children's picture books
• Erotica
• Works previously self-published (unless sales have been exceptional)

How to Submit

1. Query first - Send a brief email describing your book, its genre, word count, and a short author bio.
2. Include a synopsis - A one-page summary of the complete plot.
3. Sample chapters - If we're interested, we'll ask for the first three chapters.
4. Full manuscript - If the sample impresses us, we'll request the complete work.

Manuscript Requirements

• Completed manuscripts only (no works in progress)
• Minimum 60,000 words for novels
• Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx)
• Standard formatting (12pt Times New Roman, double-spaced)
